My latest essay, “soundscape : transmit,” was inspired by family stories about when the radio was first introduced to my mother’s hometown in the Philippines. It weaves together concepts of memory, sound, and diaspora. The piece was published by Kritika Kultura, Ateneo de Manila Uniersity’s journal of literary, language, and cultural studies.
